Anticipating Ecuador…

Good Morning Friends and Followers,

I woke up early this morning filled with anticipation and excitement. The thought of meeting Miriam is thrilling and made it difficult for me to sleep. We are delayed in Atlanta but our travels are going exactly as they should. The fact that our luggage is in captivity at the airport can’t even kill our optimism. Who needs luggage? We’re on a chocolate loving, airport hopping, laughter filled trip to help another entrepreneur start her business.

Our conversations en route were varied (as they always are) and mesmerizing. From the business model and partners that we have recently identified to the Western definition of marriage. There is never a dull moment.

We will arrive in Quito tonight around 11. The rest of our group (Kim, Mimi and Sharon) arrived yesterday and (with Miriam) are meeting a cacao manufacturer today.

The nervous anticipation I feel today reminds me that I am alive. For some, this is cause for anxiety but in the last several years, I have discovered it is the fuel that powers my passion.

    • Hey Hey Mary Lannin,

The best thing is that we’ve taken a piece of each one of you with us. So, you’re here my dear. As are all of the other lovely ladies who have helped contribute to Miriam’s chocolate venture. Thank you for your thoughts. Stay tuned and give our best to the Lannin clan.

  3. Sorry to hear that you were delayed both in TVC and in ATL. Oh, well, when traveling you definitely have to just go with the flow. I hope you will hook up with your compatriots soon and will have great stories to share over the next couple of weeks. And don’t forget, we want a slide show party when you get back!

    • Lovely Miss Weeks,
All is well in travel-land. Jody and I have been flowing since we arrived and it is a beautiful thing. A lot of wonderful things have happened and all in the shadow of the mountains under a beautiful sunny sky. Tasting chocolate. Meeting new friends and tomorrow, we’ll get to visit Miriam’s Chocolate House. Thanks for the well-wishes! Will look forward to sharing stories and photos upon return.
