Celebrating Miriam’s Casa de Cacao

Hola GoBe Community:

Last night, Mimi Wheeler, owner of Grocer’s Daughter Chocolate hosted a sweet reception to celebrate the progress of Miriam’s Casa de Cacao in Peguche, Ecuador.  All day, I looked forward to seeing my friend Miriam again – and celebrating her success with all of you.

Kim and Miriam catch up. Juliette delivers the sweets.

The gathering of new friends, supporters and fellow travelers had the room buzzing with energy. One new friend shared that “even though I haven’t been a part of this, it felt like I was. It felt intimate and like we were all connected.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. And that’s the driving force behind GoBe. Helping people connect in a deeper way to support entrepreneurs around the world.

I also wanted to share Miriam’s heartfelt message with the GoBe family:

“The Casa de Cacao is not our house, it’s your house. Our house is your house. And you are welcome any time.”

Casa de Cacao: Before

Miriam and Luiz anticipate opening for business in January, 2011. Perfecto! Jody and I have just finalized the itinerary for GoBe’s first tour:

From Bean to Bar: GoBe’s Inaugural Tour to Ecuador:
January 7-17, 2011
Celebrating the Origin of Chocolate and the Indigenous Culture of Ecuador

Casa de Cacao: Today

You are all invited to join us in a delicious (and chocolaty) Ecuadorian adventure. Stay tuned for more details.

Today, my heart is overflowing with happiness and gratitude. Thank you to each and every one of you. You have touched our hearts and we are honored to share your generosity with Miriam and Luiz and many, many more entrepreneurs in the future.

Gracias, Juliette & Jody

  1. So wish I could have been there last night – sounds like it was a fabulous time and I can just imagine how energized everyone felt being there together and sharing in the excitement (and chocolate). Great to hear and see the progress being made. Casa de Cacao is looking good! 🙂 Thanks for posting this update!
